Design Excellence Awards 2021

The designer used board-and-batten-inspired paneling on key interior walls, reconfigured existing ceiling beams for better proportions, and added Faux beams at the exterior walls keep solar shades hidden when not in use.

This Kitchen photo shows the archway on the left, opening into the new Pantry. The Stove Niche on the right was the former walk-in pantry. Small doors on each side hold spices. The Custom Portable Island has a pull-out for trash, recycling, and green waste.

A connection to nature was away to help clients erase the stresses of the day. New transom window bathes space with daylight, while the removal of one window improves privacy. Combination of various materials and formats creates harmony and visual interest. Global View's "Butterfly For Brains" sculpture creates a bit of unexpected while reinforcing nod to nature.

NEW WINE CELLAR IN STAIR WELL

Indoor/outdoor living and spaces built for entertaining were tops on the priority list for these homeowners. Needless to say, the interior designer embraced the challenge!

NEW WINDOWS CREATE AN AIRY AND BRIGHT SPACE IN THE NEW ATTIC LOFT. THE SOFA TURNS INTO A BED FOR OVERNIGHT GUESTS.
