The living room side of the grand room invites a warm welcome into the home. It is designed to showcase the client’s most significant African sculptures. The medium size pieces are presented inside custom designed cabinetry, backed with linen grasscloth, beneath the ocean view. The wall between the back hallway and the grand room has been artfully punctured, to creatively present the smaller scale sculptures from both sides. The custom designed carpet, coffee table and side tables lift the room to an engaging presentation of comfort and relaxed hospitality..

The living room is a great area for entertaining, with plenty of storage and seating space. Curves are introduced in several elements: the little arch at the top of the bookshelves, the traditional light fixtures, and the vintage armchairs, which were reupholstered in timeless patterns. The oak cabinetry and parquet flooring add warmth creating a cozy space.

Adding a pair of double French doors to the family room, revamping all built-in elements, and selecting family-friendly furnishings and materials inside and out were all integral to our strategy to transform this home.

The atrium bathroom transcends its original constraints—converting a restrictive lightwell into an expansive sanctuary defined by light and intentional contrast.

Wine Country Reimagined

Kitchen

Completed kitchen with custom cabinets, stone countertop and backsplash, energy efficient appliances, updated lighting. Glass-front cabinets above window showcase heirloom teapot collection.

Enlarged window expanse and increased height volume allows both natural and artificial light to flood the kitchen zone, creating a larger sense of space within the same footprint as the original kitchen layout.

A dark, cramped powder room and a disorganized laundry room were combined to create a Luxe Laundry Retreat.

The final design features a harmonious palette of blues, greens and burnt orange, dramatic animal-skin wallcoverings, and luxurious custom pieces- including Pierre Frey fabric the designer sourced in Paris. Sculptural lighting and bespoke grassweave window treatments add fluidity while the client's traditional furnishings thread classic and contemporary, creating a cohesive, artistic, timeless, and original expression living experience.

This modern kitchen pairs warm oak perimeter cabinets with a rich chocolate island and quartz waterfall countertop. A glass mosaic backsplash and light-veined quartz add softness and refined elegance.

A modern kitchen featuring crisp white perimeter cabinets beautifully contrasts with serene blue island and bar cabinets, creating a calming and inviting atmosphere. A white quartzite slab with natural veining visually expands the space, while warm hardwood flooring adds depth and texture. Elegant aged brass fixtures—including pendant lights, faucets, and cabinet hardware—bring a refined, sophisticated touch to the design.

A large picture window floods the space with natural light and frames the lush exterior. The focal point, a professional-grade range and hood, is set against a geometric tile backsplash. The added corner cabinet separates the cooking and clean-up zones, making it easier to work in the kitchen. Additional seating at the end of the peninsula offers a casual dining spot, enhancing the kitchen’s functionality and welcoming atmosphere.

The bar was designed to be the star of the space, the finishes and furnishings in the adjacent areas were selected to enhance it

Designed to celebrate materiality, this bespoke vanity uses push-to-close overlay doors to showcase speciality architectural glass on a wood veneer substrate. Warm LED tape lighting within the interior, illuminates the cork surface, adding depth and atmosphere creating the Chinoiserie glow connecting all surrounding elements within the powder room, aka Chinosierie Jewel Box.
